Top Ten Tuesday- Ten Authors I REALLY Want to Meet

5:47 AM

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by one of my favourite blogs- The Broke and the Bookish.  If you are like me and love creating lists, then this is the meme for you! This week's topic is the top ten authors that you really want to meet! If you participated please leave a link to your post down below. I truly love reading, and commenting on these posts.

Top Ten Authors I REALLY Want to Meet

1. Mitch Albom- When I was a teenager his books really affected me, and I have read these three in particular multiple times! I also love Detroit sports teams, so I feel like we would have a lot to talk about.
2. J.K. Rowling- I have a feeling that she will be on a lot of our lists! I would just want to thank her for making my childhood a little bit more magical.
3. Harper Lee- To Kill a Mockingbird was my first classic, and I carried it around with me for weeks afterwards.  I was just not able to let it go! Now that she is releasing another novel, my desire to meet her has only intensified!
4. John Green- I have read, and enjoyed all of his books.  I also watch his youtube channel.  From what I have seen, I think that John Green would be a very interesting man to have a conversation with.
5. John Steinbeck-  Steinbeck is my favourite author.  Of course I would want to meet my favourite author, even though he passed on many years ago.  His book Cannery Row is the one book I make sure to read every summer.
6. Nora Roberts- My guilty pleasure author! I tend to read a lot of books that have dark, and hard themes.  Sometimes it is nice to just dive in to a good old romance.  I think Nora Roberts would be so fun to meet!
7. Neil Gaiman- I can not even begin to imagine what of conversation with Neil Gaiman would be like, but I would love to find out!
8. Pierce Brown- I really enjoyed his book, Red Rising, but I have to admit that, as shallow as it is, it is that smile that makes me want to me him...
9. Markus Zusak- He is one of those authors that knows how to rip my heart out! I still find myself thinking about the Book Thief often.
10. Jane Austen- I read Pride and Prejudice a couple times a year, and it has a very special place in my heart.  I will read, or watch, anything that is somewhat related to Jane Austen.  She seemed like an incredible woman, and I would have loved to have met her.

Thank you for reading! Don't forget to post your TTT in the comments!

  5. Harper Lee, man, I meant to put her on, and then I got distracted (story of my life). I have JK and Gaiman too, and Jane Austen would be one of the first people I'd visit if I found a TARDIS. I'd also love to meet Markus Zusak-he has such a way with words and an emotional/philosophical depth to his books. Lovely picks,

  6. I have a feeling the line to meet Rowling would be a long one (at least based on the responses to TTT this week!)

But I have a feeling it would be worth it.

Thanks for visiting my list at Nashville Book Worm. (nashvillebookworm.wordpress.com)
